As posted yesterday, several residents reported vehicle break-ins (including smashed windows to gain entry into locked vehicles) during the late evening hours of Friday, November 28 and/or early morning hours of Saturday, November 29.
In addition to the 3 known incidents as communicated yesterday, a 4th resident has reported an incident during this same time. The resident, who lives on Carlesbrooke Terrace, discovered a broken rear window in his locked vehicle. A small, orange backpack was reported stolen from the vehicle.
As previously communicated, CMPD and your Neighborhood Watch encourages all residents of Providence Arbours and neighboring communities to practice a “healthy sense of caution” to do our part in managing crime in the community.
While Providence Arbours is a safe community, over the past 2 years we have documented a pattern of vehicle break-ins every few months. By leaving valuables in our vehicles, we encourage criminals to return, time and time again, to our neighborhood.
Practice a healthy sense of caution by removing valuables from your vehicle each and every night. During the holiday season, encourage your overnight guests to do the same.
