The following message is from Officer James Russell, the CMPD community coordinator assigned to Providence Arbours:
Over the past week or so we have seen an increase in cars being broken into late at night (13). Below I have listed the block numbers where these incidents have occurred and we are patrolling in the affected areas. There are many different neighborhoods affected and we do not know where they will target next.
We need the help of the residents by removing all items from their vehicles and locking them up. Also please park them inside a garage if you can or use outside lights at night. Please report any suspicious activity to 911 immediately.
With school ending soon we have seen in the past these type of incidents rise. Please remember to know where your teens are at all times.
Again please help us by removing the items these criminals are looking for.
