The Charlotte Observer published a story today on a pilot program that CMPD is testing in 4 divisions to cut down on car break-ins. The South division (which covers Providence Arbours) is not included at this time.
Just last week, WSOC-TV featured a story on 2 nights of car break-ins in the Raintree community (located just north of Providence Arbours on Providence Road). The Providence Arbours Neighborhood Watch encourages all community residents to practice a “healthy sense of caution” to reduce the risk of the most common crime in our neighborhood (and in Charlotte) – - car break-ins.
- Remove all valuables from vehicles parked outside your home (day or night)
- Lock the doors of your vehicles
- Keep garage doors closed (day or night)
- Share these safety best practices with your teen and college drivers and visitors
